Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

Employees are eligible after 12 months of service and at least 1,250 hours worked in the past 12 months.

Disability Leaves

  • Active, regular full-time employment for a specified period (e.g., 30–90 days).
  • Medical documentation of a qualifying disability.
    Coverage and waiting periods vary based on the specific insurance policy.

Short-Term (STD)

  • You are eligible to receive STD benefits after you have been disabled for 14 days due to a non-work-related illness or injury.
  • Replaces up to 60% of your eligible income, up to a maximum of $1,000 per week.
  • Benefits end after 11 weeks.

Long-Term (LTD)

  • You are eligible to receive LTD benefits after 90 days of disability.
  • Replaces up to 50% of your eligible income, up to a maximum of $5,000 per month until you recover or reach your Social Security Normal Retirement Age, whichever is sooner.

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

An employee is covered under the ADA if they:
  • Have a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity,
  • Have a history of such an impairment, or
  • Are perceived as having such an impairment.
