This employee paid-benefit is designed to help pay for ongoing care and support when you need help with everyday activities due to aging, illness, or disability by providing a life insurance plan with additional coverage for long-term care when needed. The plan is provided by Chubb Benefits.
Plan Highlights
- Plan provides up to $200,000 in Guaranteed Issue Life Insurance and $400,000 in Long-Term Care benefits. Premiums are paid through payroll deductions.
- Long-Term Care Benefits – Benefit can be accessed to pay for qualifying home health care, assisted living, adult day care or nursing home care.
- LTC benefit can be used when 2 or more Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are triggered
for up to 50 months. - Home care can be a mix of licensed caregiving and informal/family caregiving.
- LTC benefit can be used when 2 or more Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) are triggered
- Portable Coverage – Coverage can continue if you leave Oceans Healthcare or retire, provided premiums are paid as due.
- Life insurance benefit reduced to $50,000 if employee uses all LTC coverage of $400,000.
- Accidental Death Benefit Rider – Doubles the death benefit if death results from an accident.
